A landscape with a difference today, inspired by "A Lark Above The Trenches" by Sgt John William Streets, WW1 poet:

"I in the trench, he lost in heaven afar,I dream of Love, its ecstasy he sings;Doth lure my soul to love till like a starIt flashes into Life: O tireless wings"

Reading the stories of the British soldier and their connection to nature in the First World War in the book "Where Poppies Blow" by John Lewis-Stempel, I was deeply moved. The trench holes and front lines still scar the landscapes.
